AvXML version 1.0 RC1 - Logical Model Teleconferences.
AvXML version 1.0 is derived from a logical data model that is expressed in UML.
More details about UML (Unified Modeling Language)may be found on Wikipedia or in textbooks such as "UML Distilled. A Brief Guide to the Standard Object Modeling Language" by Martin Fowler, ISBN 0-321-19368-7.
TT-AvXML is planning three teleconferences to explain the logical data model. Before taking part in these teleconferences, you will need to be familiar with the concepts of UML and to have explored the UML definitions of the components of the AvXML package (met-basic, opm, metce and iwxxm). Although the UML is available as html pages, more detail is available in the "Enterprise Architect" files; a free Enterprise Architect viewer for Windows is available from Sparx Systems.
TeleconferencesYou will be sent details of how to join the teleconference when you register.
The teleconferences will be run using WebEx. If you are not able to use the WebEx system from your computer, you can join the teleconference by telephone. The presentations to be used in the conferences will be linked from this page so that you can follow them if you are unable to use the full WebEx system.
